Low Milk Supply and Complex Feeding Support

Breast and Bottle Feeding with Low Milk Supply, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility, Chronic Pain

I have chronic low milk supply and I support many other parents experiencing chronic, primary or persistent low milk supply, when milk production does not significantly improve despite optimal management. Contributing factors I commonly work with include insufficient glandular tissue (IGT), prior breast or chest surgery, and hormonal or metabolic conditions, along with causes related to your baby's ability to remove milk. Part of supporting patients with low supply means being very sensitive to a history of difficult or traumatic feeding experiences. Whether or not you book with me, you are welcome to join my free online low milk supply support group, where you will find a community of parents who may be experiencing some of the same challenges.

I also have a special interest in infant feeding in the context of chronic pain, hypermobility, connective tissue disorders (including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), and pelvic floor dysfunction. You are welcome to join my support group for patients with these conditions, even if you don't work with me individually. I understand hypermobility and related disorders from a more personal perspective and I will spend 2026 building my clinical knowledge in three seminar series in the EDS Echo Program as well as the EDS Society Female Health Summit. These conditions are complicated but I am passionate about helping families affected by them to nurse and feed their babies in any way that works for them. There is still so much to learn, especially about the rare forms, but if I don't have all the answers you need, I will work as hard as I can to find them.

Consultations are individualized and may include realistic expectation-setting, pumping strategies (or a plan to stop pumping), combination feeding or formula plans, positioning strategies, planning around chronic fatigue, and emotional support.
